Confined Space Entry Course

Duration: One day

Group Size: Maximum 10 learners

Who should attend: All persons required to work in confined spaces as part of their employment duties.

Course aims: The course aims to teach learners how to competently enter, work in and exit a variety of confined spaces, using escape breathing apparatus as part of a planned emergency procedure.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of the course the learners will cover the following content:

  • Current legislation
  • Hazard identification
  • Equipment selection
  • Permits to work
  • Safe working procedures
  • Hygiene
  • Gas detection
  • Use of oxygen escape sets
  • Accident and emergency procedures
  • Certification: Upon completion of the course the learners will be required to complete a practical assignment, which upon successful completion learners will receive a certificate and photo ID card.

    NB: Learners must supply their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for this course.
